Jewellery

What jewellery do you all wear?

I wear absolutely none. Rings, bands, all cut off circulation, necklace type things beat off my chest, i dont have any piercings, and i can never be bothered with a watch because i have the time on my phone.

So what do you wear? And why? Im sure some of you fags must wear crosses around your neck because the law of averages states so. Whats so important about your rings, or bangles, or are you just fashionable fags?

Ring.. on my right ring finger.

Does the "Stand Up Speak Up" wristband count?

vampire_lestat 28 Jun 2006 00:44

Re: Jewellery

I wear a watch, because I need to tell the time, and I'm not one of those fags who uses a mobile phone for everything.

None.

Deffeh 28 Jun 2006 00:47

Re: Jewellery

when it does everything, why not? Should i carry round a filofax, a calender, and an alarm clock just so im not accused of phone phaggery?

Whats the ring blasto? And yes, that stupid Nike bangle counts.

Re: Jewellery

I just wear a watch. Mainly because it's easier than digging my phone out of my pocket all the time but mostly because I've always worn a watch and I just don't feel right without it

Blastoderm 28 Jun 2006 00:53

Re: Jewellery

Oh ok.

Well it's a silver ring with some dark Arab design on it (that's how it was described by some Goth in Slimelight). And it's got an onyx stone on it which sadly broke after I punched a cabinet at work. I'll get it fixed when I go to the Middle East on 1st of July.

I got it as a gift from my dad who was working abroad on my 16th birthday. Haven't stopped wearing since then. Not sure why. It does get my date's attention sometimes and it also kind of makes me look like a important "Guv'nor".

As for the wristband, well it's for fashionable purposes. To make me look trendy.

Re: Jewellery

I wear two thin silver chains around my neck (21st birthday presents from my Mother and Nanna) and a really neat binary watch much like this one only with a metal strap.

pablissimo 28 Jun 2006 02:17

Re: Jewellery

I used to keep my Leeds 2004 band on, lasted about 8 months before falling to bits =(((

Otherwise nothing, my phone gives me the time and I feel no need to clutter my appendages with bands of metal. Not only because it'd piss me off when typing but also because, in my opinion, it looks good on just about noone. I know a couple of people who wear cruxifixes as a 'statement' but since they're not in any way religious it seems pretty banal to me.

the ring Aryn bought me, and a watch if im going out.
Other then that nothing.
Didnt wear anything much beforehand - didnt see the point tbh :)

Re: Jewellery

A white gold ring my mother gave me for my 21st birthday and leather wristband since a couple of days. The ring because it's nice (one of a kind etc) and the wristband because i think it looks cool (but i'll ask my girlfriend if it actually does :D)

midge5 28 Jun 2006 07:35

Re: Jewellery

Just a watch as I wore one for so many years it now feels weird if I don't have one on, and it is more convenient than having to constantly get my phone out as I have a habit of checking my watching quite regularly and then forgetting the time straight away so needing to do so again.

Dante Hicks 28 Jun 2006 07:43

Re: Jewellery

I wear a cheap digital watch. I didn't used to, but I lost my phone and even before that found it inconvenient to keep looking at it for reasons similar to midge5's.

I used to wear a wedding ring a couple of years ago.

SYMM 28 Jun 2006 08:24

Re: Jewellery

I wear a watch, generally feel a bit lost without it.
I generally keep my phone in my bag, so it's not as convenient to look at (and it's currently out by about 20 minutes, so wouldn't be particularly helpful...)

I'm suprised it doesn't just say 'sup'.

Not even clothes.

Or hair.

Although I do cover my body in honey before going outside. I mean, I'm not stupid!

Re: Jewellery

I wear a watch when I remember to put it on. I don't have a mobile (well I do but it merely acts as an alarm clock) and sometimes it's helpful to know the time. I don't wear any other jewellery. I have my ears pierced 4 times in each ear, but I haven't worn any earings for about 7 years now, mainly because I am not allowed to wear them in my job and I can't be ****ed having to take them off and put them back on every day.

Re: Jewellery

i have a watch and a nipple piercing.

A watch because I don't always have my phone on me and the ring in my nipple hasn't changed since I got it done 5 years ago.

wu_trax 28 Jun 2006 10:15

Re: Jewellery

none. I would wear a watch if that stupid **** on ebay would have told me where to transfer the money.

A watch.

I want to wear a big gold chain with 'J' on it but i think i might get teased in the school playground :(

ChubbyChecker 28 Jun 2006 11:18

Re: Jewellery

I broke my watch the other day. Not only did the strap break, the little bit of plastic on the watch itself that holds the strap in place snapped off. I have to get a new one soon, I feel lost without a watch!

Erm, haven't the holes grown over by now?

It seems not. I hadn't actually thought about it, but I just got my earring collection out and tested, and apparently all the holes are still ok, although I did have to do a tiny bit of pushing in the top hole. Maybe I'll wear earings today :o

Im not too fond of this "omg i was at a festival" band thing either. Many of my friends do that, one of them has three bands on - from the last 3 t in the parks - which he hasnt removed since then.

I wear an old beat up watch that I've had for about 10 years, it doesnt hold the time very well, it looks like crap, but it has sentimental value and to be honest my wrist feels 'strange' without it.

I used to wear a ring and a necklace aswell, but after a while I decided that both annoyed the utter tits off of me so I stopped.

I'm sure if i were to get married or something I could go back to wearing a ring again, but I'm not going to go around wearing one just as a fashion statement.

If Phang says it, it must be TRUE!

I only wear a watch. I do quite like rings but most don't fit my fingers properly as they're too slim :(

I'm exactly like Deffeh, I don't wear anything - not even a watch.

I do like signet rings, however, so I reckon that once I have enough cash to throw around on useless stuff, I may get one. As well as a decent looking watch. Other than that I can't really be bothered with any jewelry.

male nipple rings are up there with madonna records and expensive cologne as easy indicators that someone is good with colours.
