Portal issues
 

Well, i've tried to ask about this in #support, but the only answer i really got was as follows

<posi>: the ship stats + manual link, on the portal, take you nowhere

The two links have been dead for a long time now, i dont see why im the first person to complain about this? You simply cant get to the stats OR the game manual from the portal site, but the links on the login interface work perfectly, as do the Game Overview...

so why cant the portal links be fixed? I dont want to start a fight about it, but an explanation better than "i know why it cant be fixed and you dont" would be cool.

That is utterly ridiculous. Creating a link to a page is not hard. Whoever "xxx" is, he sounds like a moron to me.

theres a limited number of people in those circles that tag away in square brackets, with a capital A.
the only possible excuse for it would be that each manual is on a seperate server for seperate games, with seperate stats, etc so having a perminant link isnt feasible in the highly unlikely event that they move which server the game is on and forget to either update the dns records for game.pa , forget to update the portal, or simply cant be bothered creating a page which loads all the necessary data into one place on the portal for *all* servers, or of course they have cocked up the implementation of which pages get displayed to logged in users - something which isnt the case as anyone can quite happily view the manual or stats pages without having to be logged in.

its a pretty poor excuse at that, though.

They have the link, it just points to a blank page, why have the link at all if it's not pointing to the proper place.
