legal advice needed
 

An old irc 'friend' of mine popped me up. He's swedish, working on some IT projects.

He claims to be getting EU financing in march of next year, but for that they need more EU people working on the project. He knows I'm not any help in the technology area, but since I'm european I can help.

Basically the plan is for me to sign a contract. The contract will say that I am working as a system technician, it'll be a consulting contract, limited to six months. If needed, extendable beyond those six months.

He's willing to spend 800 euros on it, deduct taxes and whatever symbolic wage is there comes to me.


Does it sound fishy to anyone?

an "irc friend" have you ever met him? can you trust him? You sure he isnt a Nigerian trying to sell you a phone on ebay? Or a man with loads of money that wants to put 80% in a charity and 20% to you?

As long as the contract doesn't tie you in to any 'loving long time', who cares?

Unless you're in to the long-time love in which case PRACE BETS NOW, clearly

It all sounds vaguely illegal, but if this doesn't bother you (either the morality or risk element) and you think you can trust this fellow then why not?

I'll just ask a lawyer or two before signing anything.
