Change to quest
 
Quite a small one really. Please put security center quest after In gal def fleet as several strategies does not really enjoy the sec center build.

The same could be said for the research lab and the light factory. In fact it's difficult to make a case for any structure or even class of structures being a necessary component of every strategy (although any factory does come close).

What makes you think the beginner quests were designed for every strategy? Seems to me the beginner quests are really designed for newbies. What you really want are some more advanced quests that make sense for these different strategies that you are referring too.

Or, not maybe more advanced, but start with something like "ship quest", "scan quest", "resource quest" and etc. You'd then pick "resource quest" first which would include initing m/c/e roids, then doing HCT 1 research, then something like attack and capture asteroids, then something. Once that "branch" of the quest has been done, you'd select something else.

If scanning better fit your early startup, then you'd pick that branch first. Or ships or whatever.

Zaejii had some very interesting ideas for quests.

Various trees as sovereign said (eg war, defence, scanning, covops whatever), and possibly a more MMORPG system where you're not aware of rewards OR quests aren't revealed until you've done a certain thing (eg building 25 amps opens scanning tree).

Weren't we supposed to be getting a full quest system for all users to have something interesting to do?

At the moment the basic quests just get you to do stuff, but they don't exactly explain the game that well. Producing a single security centre doesn't tell me anything about using constructions in an effective way.

It needs improvements, don't just leave it in as it is to rot without any enhancements being made. At the moment it isn't even worth the time spent coding it.
