Corporate Whoring Materialistic Debt-Inducing Day
That's right folks, it's nearly Corporate Whoring Materialistic Debt-Inducing Day* and I want to know what you want/expect/demand even if it costs blood!
I have personally have no idea. I might get an electric razor because they seem ideal for a person who constantly gets irritation and cuts** but I've never owned one. Are they any good and are they expensive to use (i.e. when replacing the blades)? This is a strange christmas because the only things I actually want are better versions of the things I already have, which automatically rules them out as gifts. *Christmas, for those not in th know **lol, emo |
Re: Corporate Whoring Materialistic Debt-Inducing Day
I've been thinking of getting one of those tiny laptops so I can write while "on the road", but I doubt I'll get it for CWMDIDay. I haven't really thought about it to be honest. Usually my wish list is comprised of books, but I got 9 of them for my birthday a couple of weeks ago, so I have quite an unread stack waiting for me already.
I think I'll try to convince my family that we don't need to do presents, would save a lot of hassle. |
Re: Corporate Whoring Materialistic Debt-Inducing Day
there's more to christmas than the presents...... man.

Re: Corporate Whoring Materialistic Debt-Inducing Day
This is true. There's also the food and the obligatory church visit (once a year is all it takes to avoid hell!).

So then I switched to manual razorblades with shaving cream and I rarely get irritation now. So for some people electric razors are worse, did you try using other shaving cream and aftershaves? edit: I might ask for a book or two this year, problem is I'm very picky regarding books. Is Lost Horizon worth owning? I want books that make me think (I don't mean in a mystery way), philosophically and psychologically. |

But who can be bothered with all the hassle of actually going? Don't they have that sort of thing on the internet yet? |
Re: Corporate Whoring Materialistic Debt-Inducing Day
Oh, I don't. I'm just echoing the general spirit of Christmas.

Re: Corporate Whoring Materialistic Debt-Inducing Day
I thought the thread was going to about corporate begging by the US auto industry before congress.

Re: Corporate Whoring Materialistic Debt-Inducing Day
Personally I'm not a big fan of christmas or any other "forcing people to give eachother presents"-holiday so I never ask anybody for something for christmas and my world won't stop turning if I didn't get this from that person :)

I've owned the same electric razor since I was ill (my dad bought it for me when I was in hospital) and I haven't replaced the blades once. It was about £20-£30 I think ASG.
