Week off

I have this week off work and I don't know what do with myself, if I don't decide I will end up sitting in front of the computer visiting forums and generally wasting time on the internet. Here are my options:

1. Play Football Manager - I have just won the Champions league and Premiership with Arsenal and I was thinking of trying to get a lower league team into the Premiership.

2. Play GTA San Andreas - I got it for PS2 when it first came out but I got to about 50% after a few weeks and never touched it again.

3. Play Star Wars Episode 3 - Borrowed it from my brother last week and after 10 minutes of dicing up camp robots with X & O combo's I got bored and turned it off. Does anyone know if it gets better as you get into it?

4. Do the garden - The weeds in my garden are taller then me in places but a strimmer or mower wouldn't touch them so I would have to use hedge trimmers and this seems like a lot of work and very little fun.

5. Go out - Leaving the house is appealing but it is usually more expensive, my friends are at work and where would I go?

6. Other - Please specify.

It pisses all over Football Manager, I'm sure you'll agree.

Indeed, but i would need someone creative to plan it out for me and i fear it's too short notice.

Just remembered why I stopped playing GTA, i got to a situation where i was struggling to find missions or i was stuck on one but i'll be blowing the dust off that disc soon.

Do a little of everything (except the working in the garden crap---that should not be how one spends a week vacation unless you just happen to enjoy such things. You might also throw in reading a book or two.

Re: Week off

Since your garden is so bad you may aswell leave it until winter for it all to die. Play GTA SA cos its a wicked game. Failing that just buy lots of drink and watch tele and be drunk on the internet.

Go out.
You don't have to do anything expensive - but don't waste a whole week in front of a computer.

Of course, you can do more than one option.

Spray your "garden" with weedkiller; salt the earth and you will never again have to bother with it.

Then 5

Re: Week off

Have a BBQ everyday and get your mates round to do your garden and have a laugh at the same time. You can also allocate each day to a seperate game that will be on during the day when people want rest breaks from the hard grafting they will be doing in the garden.

Gardens are cool!

Go for 4 at first.
Then do 5, just go somewhere random, talk to random non-murderous people, experience something new.
After you're borded off all that do 1. I suggest you buy Shaun Wright-Phillips as he's en vogue at the moment.

Signing up for the game; the act which signifies you've hit rock-bottom.

Re: Week off

To make your garden easier to manage, spray it with 3 times the reccomended amount of weed killer. When everything is dead, go to the graveyard and swipe all the plastic flowers that are left there. Arrange said flowers outside in your now dead garden and spraypaint the ground green.
Looks good from a distance.

my network at home is open simply because of the fact that i can't be bothered to protect it, i would be immensly surprised if anyone in the village could take advantage of this, and, in the 8 months i have had an unprotected network, no one has. :)

Re: Week off

Too many people suggesting the garden for my liking, i don't think you understand the scale of the project, i live in a corner house and the garden surrounds the front and side of the house and it's not just tall grass. It mainly consists of thick brambles (approx 2.5cm stem width) so i have spent the day infront of the computer looking at forums and porn. I will do something worth while this week.

Re: Week off

Well you had reminded me that the entire back portion of my garden was being taken over by Ivy...and no it wasn't a hot eastern european variety of Ivy.
So I borrowed a hedge trimmer and started into the jungle.
3 hours later I've laid waste to the bastard, I thought I'd never get through it. Had to climb walls, scale ladders. Hack. Slash.

And all the while I was thinking "Why don't I just get some petrol".
All the time I was having visions of burning the lot to the ground in a 'controled burn' <-*snicker*

What is it with us men, why is such destruction not only cool, but the first thing we think of?

Not that I'm complaining.

And no, I couldn't find any petrol.

to me this shows a truly wonderful character.

i confess i do not protect my own. but it is deeper than that. i do not protect anything i have. i am proud of the people, the experiences i have had in life: and, though you might find the truth of it hard to believe, that i have never been hit.

i have never suffered at the hand of my fellow man. i do not seek to protect myself from them.

i do not fear them.

and lacking fear i know no hate. no discrimination. i have always found warmth from human hearts. no matter what flesh and bones those hearts have been wrapped in.

cecilly is very lucky i feel.
