was generally bored and worthless this round. at the start Hiall decided to be an inactive blank and then vamp decided to delete. was no real incentive to do good until later then didn't have much motivation. apologies to booji, rasp, and shev who all had good rounds. sorry i wasn't around more and was more helpful.

Went random, nice and friendly gal, enjoyable round.
Was pretty much a defplanet for ally, so I hardly attacked(had about 3 times as many defences as attacks). Satisfied with my planet, had high value all round long, and managed to end up in t100 thanks to avoiding incs due to having high value and being active in a random gal. Dropped about 30 ranks in the last two weeks due to one miscalced def and one attack where target stayed home.

The greatest loss of this war on ND was clearly the fact that it (along with a few ****ups not of my own doing) cost me a top100 comeback and beating Theam :(

All in all good fun with the gal, -fedz who emo'd first time he had proper inc.

Second top30 planet crashed in two rounds. Had to do it again since they didn't give me the ND top crasher award last round!

ps. FOR PONY!

First time I play since round 30, and knowing that I'd randomly disappear for about 10 days total this round I didn't sign on to do much more than send defense. Somehow got dragged into attacking at some point and kept doing it now and then, but I hardly ever landed. Probably half my attacks were me just offering my fleets for teamups and others giving me targets which is a pretty decent way to participate without having to put any energy into playing. Ended up sending 70 attacks and something like 75 defense missions which isn't that bad. Didn't get much incoming because of being in a galaxy with decent value and never really having roids.

I started out the round pretty slow since I thought I would be traveling all summer. Plans changed and I got pretty active.
CT stayed out of the wars mostly and I was in a big random gal, so I didn't get many incs. I three-fleeted about 50% of the time since CT would see entire nights with <10 incs. When I was really lazy I just launched fakes and let the pods crash so I could sleep in.
I basically idled my way to top 50.

Cath research speed helped me get TT/Hulls up pretty quickly, so I started joining attacks, then arranging teamups and before I knew it I was playing an actual planet and having fun while doing it. Crazy world. Didn't do particularly well, but then again I never do.

Good round, with a good gal. Spent most of it faking FR as BS (generally teaming with shev) which many people managed to fall for. I think combined we landed 3 real BS attacks all round :p Highlight of the round for me was probably being roided by 5k ships, giving my attacker 1.2mill score from xp as i misread the incoming scan (YES, i could inc scan him :() and sent my vendors out to defend ellonweb.

All in all quite enjoyable round!

Gal began to go wrong right from the start when hiall went totally inactive from day 1. Nonetheless it was a gal where those of us who wished to play a bit more active could without gal raids. We did not suffer any early incs (except a few randoms) and it was not until wars started that incs came in. Unfortunately we were rather split so could not def much ingal. Vamp deleted and I still dont know why, I assume because of his crash, but going down to 50th is hardly a dire rank. Having gotten no incs for most of the round the last 3 weeks we (shev and I) had loads due to the block hitting asc. Worked well with me covering shev's fi incs and him covering my de incs time and again. Overall not a bad round (my best rank since I joined asc) mostly played as a kind of support planet launching where I was told on attack and sending lots of defence.

Started off pretty decently, went to top 30 value in no time and had good roids too. Didn't have much incs due to the fencing nature of our gal for a good while. It was quite boring playing without a goal or purpose. Once ellonweb got some roids it was fun, but we were fighting a losing battle and it was easier to keep BlueArmy on top.
Got 1 day incs, when Asc got targetted heavy, but it was at a day I would be busy, so I decided not to get def. After that I mostly defwhored and decided on time to attack and I capped 300 roids on a pretty fake.

After that I idled out of top 100, but on the last tick I landed def on BlueArmy and the salvage got me top 100 and beating Sun Tzu.

Consistently not caring is what my round was about.

Went priv gal and made my own BP which contained Me/Drizzit/Gotenks from Subh, MaVeRiXX/Rgat/Sukur from NewDawn, & Unreal5/VdM from Evolution. Round was going well at start and our gal was around rank11, then we got double booked by App/CT one night and lost alot of roids. The Subh's in gal got no defence which led to Gotenks joining Osiris. Lots of people in gal crashed mid round, but we still had a laugh, towards end of round I left Subh as i was setting up attacks every night and had like 3 people joining. I joined Ascendancy and just def whored last few weeks of round and didn't land an attack for last few weeks. Personally I enjoyed rnd as gal was a good laugh and am happy with my ranking, value was good all round although I did crash my DE fleet once, my problem was my XP sucked which stopped me getting a better ranking.

started round in priv gal of unknowns really. Had the mistake of entering a galaxy with revol.. didn't last, soon exiled. prior to this, i spent the round at #1 xp racing Benneh.. Which was fun :D However i got roided and spent loads of cash exiling, ruined my round, landed in fairly decent gal with monroe/signs/hosie/dany/qebab etc . We hardly got incs. I spent most of my time activity BCin in Osiris, setting up waves on Reese/Eksero firstly when we were at war with them, this soon switched to ellonweb/BA when we switched to taking out Asc. All in all, it was a paticularly boring round. Coolkat did well though, 2nd place!! I was happy about that, shame santa messed up calc and RS had a meeting or else first place may of been close. Was fun stealing BA's roids on last day of round. Was a good first round for Osi!!

They were generally not worth the effort, spread out in random gals as they were. Anyway, if someone would have wanted to roid them, just abuse defwhores and then roid whomever you wanted a tick later, ah the brilliance of allowing people to defleech.

Re: Who We Were R37

Im just going to post because my fleet and strategy was totally different from all other Etd's.

My fleet (as i remember it)

1,100,000 Voyager
300,000 vsharrak + other xan flak.
85,000 avenger

270,000 merchants
300,000 Vendor
115,000 Defender

70,000 tycoon
70,000 Broker
5,000 pillager

Attacking:
Started out building enough merchants to fake my BS 2x. Switched to massing Vendors for faking ziks with fake BS, accomponied by terran BS teamups. Spent most of the round faking BS while deffing with broker+tycoon+avenger in order to potentially kill etd/ter faked BS. Always went for large targets, so my XP was decent, but the rank dropped a lot the last 2 weeks.

Defending:
Had to mass voyagers to make it easier to cover the mass fi/co waves on my planet. A few ~15man cr/bs teamups tried to roid me but i was aware of them the night before and a few people held back their nightmare/ghost and drake/chima for me. Had long periods without incs, but that huge amounts i had at times made up for it.
Harvested a lot of salvage on deffing others. In the end my planet had generated 900k value in salvage, of which 700k was the profit.

A round generally coloured by defending more then attacking. In between incs i managed to land huge roids, which combined with the salvage in periods without attacking helped keeping my value up.

Roiding pretty much became impossible from pt 600, like many others I found the only chance of landing was faking so I did that constantly. Only landed 1 attack for more than 700 xp the entire round /yawn

Had incs about half the nights during the round, although rarely more than 1 wave on my planet. Gave up roids twice to FR incs, once by a mixup in gal where some tycoons did not launch, later to all of 11:8 suicide landing on tycoons. Spent like 60 ticks above 2k roids only and still ended 3rd on value, terran construction speed needs to be toned down.

Missed out on 3rd by 10k score, funny :D More def fleets than attack fleets sent, about 20 of them went to BA..

Bit late to this thread (been busy with other things) but I wanted to record my take on the round somewhere before I forgot.

Started a week late as I was busy getting drunk after my exams. Preround, people in Asc generally seemed disinterested in solid/fortress gals and a serious round, so joined Theam in a fence galaxy. I wanted a semi-relaxing round without the pressures of having to deal with serious inc, so we had a plan where I'd spend the round donating my resources to the galaxy. Keeping my value low and being in the fence gal kept incomings on me to a minimal that were easily defended by my gal mates.

Took a while to get going as I'd missed a week and it took a bit of time to catch the roids up, but soon enough I'd donated I think 500k value to Osiris and 250k value to NewDawn galmates. Around this point was when BlueArmy ruined the round for me! :P Being the clear #1, he attracted for a couple of days a lot of incoming, and this brought Asc more seriously into war and the round in general. It became clear that I couldn't continue to donate value away to Ascendancy's enemies, and so I had to change my plan and start playing a proper value planet.

This was at week 3, and I had almost no fleet value and no resources stocked, but I was #1 on size and had quite a large income lead. Asc expected to avoid incoming for another week after that, so after some discussions, it was decided I should start to stock my res and maximise my roiding for one more week, before spending it all in anticipation of the block turning their attention to us. Over the course of week 4 I quickly found my way from ~500th to the t10. While spending my res, I accidentally added 500k Viper to an order instead of 50k, which is why I had the retardedly high Viper count.

Once the incoming started it was clear I wasn't going to stand a chance at winning. I continued to gain on those in front of me for a while but BA and Asc's other top planets had an extreme amount of support in comparison to myself. I had more inc than everyone else over these weeks, BA didn't come close and had about 5 or 6 people DCing for him; I had to do almost every wave myself. Except for a couple of people, Theam especially, most in Asc didn't like the perceived easy route I'd had to my rank and didn't want to help (some people actively refusing to help me). I guess hardcore attacking for three solid weeks is easier than receiving escorts and having a whole gang of support planets dedicated to you. In answer to those that accused me of a lack of team play: had my planet not been in the position it was, that incoming would have still been sent on other Asc planets; who then, would do all the DCing that I did? I had further bad luck as I ended up getting quite ill and having to go to hospital for a bit during weeks 5/6; playing PA became the last thing on my mind and I lost any remaining interest I had in the round.

In the end of round I was happy to help BA win. I didn't really care about the "crash" on coolkat, it didn't affect me really; the people who ended above me were always going to overtake me with the roid leads they had, and they were all Asc planets anyway so I didn't mind. Guess I kind of failed in my preround plan of staying out of the t500!
