The same reason you go out everyday and say hello to your colleagues, chat to your friends, give your dear old mum a phone call every now and then. We are essentially social creatures and that form of interaction is essential to our well-being. The internet is just another medium of communication, just like your mobile phone.

Oh, and the fact that "these kind of sites" exsist and some of the members have thousands upon thousands of posts to their nicknames [ehem, paging MRL.....] is the foundation and verification of my reasoning.

Because we are very sociable people. I don't know about you, but we are lively, popular, friendly people who have a wide circle of friends.
Just like you would go to the pub with your friends, or play a game of football (soccer) in the park - we get together and have fun on here. This is simply another medium for doing it.

Oh, and because we are hideously ugly and fat - and start to stammer when we meet girls in real life, and dont have any frinds in real life with whom to do the things I mentioned above....

this is the flip side of GD, when you hear crap, you suddenly think that you have the knowledge to interject and correct the person, even if you don't know them!

I enjoy listening to peoples conversations on Trains or buses etc, it always makes me laugh and reminds me how shit theres lives are compared to mine :up:
