Savages!
I can't wait until the summer holidays are over and all those little bastards are locked up again.
Firstly, some little buggers stole the valve caps off two of my tyres and let them both down. Once I replaced the valve caps within two days they were gone. this evening I was distrubed by some noise outside only to find one of the little buggers standing on the ****ing bonnet. Savages! |
Re: Savages!
Buy a paintball gun. Use them for target practice.
Alternatively, use eggs (far cheaper). You'll have to clean your car though |
Re: Savages!
That way when you're stabbed / shot to death the Daily Mail can say you were a hero who died making a stand.

Re: Savages!
He was just doing the neighbourly thing.
It'll start another Daily Mail scheme thing to stop neighbourhood violence and bring back neighbourhood watch schemes. With ex marines. |
Re: Savages!
talk to them

Where do you live?

Re: Savages!
Just a little update.
A man passing just knocked on our door to inform us that my brother-in-law's car has had the driver side of the front windscreen spray-painted. |
Re: Savages!
If you do stand up for yourself, you'll most likely end up the victim of a 10 on one kicking or similar.
I'm pretty sure that the 'group of 20' that shot the guy in Newham, was the same group that I took a kicking from about a year ago. They're the only group that hangs around that area in a group that large, and they are definately capable. Best thing that you can hope to do is ignore it, and hope they move on to somebody else. Either that or form a vigilante gang and beat them all into one giant soupy mess. |

Re: Savages!
Strange, I only see the chavs around my area on schooldays, I haven't seen them when going out/coming home during the summer holidays :S
Anyway, you could seriously just try to speak to them - not in a harsh tone, just ask them why they do it, and explain that it costs you lots of money and really irritates you. This will work for some of the people I know, if this doesn't work, just call the police. |
Re: Savages!
And say what? I've no evidence as who who is doing nor am I even sure it's the same people.
the police can't do anything to help me unless I know who is doing it. Even if I did witness them doing it then I still wouldn't be able to give any names or addresses. |
Re: Savages!
Record them doing it and show it to the police - all the evidence you need.

Re: Savages!
they do come out, they take your discription of the people in question, and, as they're local pigs, they probably know all the people with a reputation and will probably find them, then it's up to you as to if you want to press charges or not, and it's at this point that you get moved to the bottom of a big pile, never to hear from them again.

your problem is that you have not bothered to ask. |
Re: Savages!
the sight of you speaking to the police will probably scare the little bastards off anyway, most of these people are shit scared of consequences

Until they effect you directly, then these are what....

Re: Savages!
James Bond - Tomorrow Never Dies. Give your car a 40k charge to give a little shock to those who touch it!
Seriously though, yahwe may well be right - if you don't report it you don't give them a chance to do anything about it. It's a bit defeatist. Also (assuming you're going to claim from insurance for the damage) the insurance company might be happier with you. It is hard to know what to do in these situations. How far from your house / windows / etc is your car? Is there street lighting near, or do you have an outside light? If you give them cause, instead of randomly winding you up they will perhaps start to actively target you more [assuming the things that have happened to you and so on are just a random selection of the things that go on near you]. You either have to make it not worth their while to continue targetting you, or get them onside. There was the neighbourhood watch thing - especially if many people are at home or around when these things happen. When someone sees something happening, they notify everyone else then they ALL come out of their houses to confront the culprits. There is strength in numbers - even if some of it is psychological. |

I can't move it up as the road has been blocked off and it blocks cars turning around if it is directly outside my house. i used to keep it directly in front of the house until this OAP hospital van driver complained about not being able to turn. My street is full of old people. Quote:

I'm aware of how defeatist this all sounds but there seems to be little that can be done unless they are caught in the act. Even if I did get a good look at them then I would still have no idea who they were. |
